North of 40 ep. 16 | Dawn of the New Day

I shared last week that being on this North of 40 journey is ‘exhilarating, difficult, frustrating, and rewarding.’ One of the ‘difficult’ things is social media. Not my comfort zone at-all, but friends explain it's the must-do for all artists. So here we are 🙂

One thing I am proud to promote is everyone who worked on the upcoming album ‘The Flame,’ due out July 28, and the lead single ‘Dawn of the New Day,’ which debuts today.  So grateful to work with such talented musicians who brought this song to life: bassist Steven C Manns Jr., drummer Mike Gee, as well as guitarists and co-writers Alexander Kleiner and John Kregor. And thrilled that Mississippi Heat leader Pierre Lacocque thought enough of 'Dawn' to add his incredible harmonica feels. He takes the song to another level.

The video for the song was a joy to make, thanks to Peyton Bernard and his friend Divine Carlisle, who play their improvised parts so well. Hope you'll check out the video and come see us perform soon!
